Say it isn't so. According to the Salt Lake Tribune (and presumable the Deseret News), Andrei Kirilenko wants to be traded from the Utah Jazz. The information comes from a blog written by Kirilenko on a Russian sports web site.
I'm too depressed/angry to write much more about the situation now, but if you want more information, click here for the article from the Tribune. The Deseret News has a small online article about it, but there's nothing too unique when compared with the article I linked to. Anyway, if anyone reads this, please feel free to leave comments. Peace out.

I was surprised and at the same time not surprised by the news. It makes sense since he did so well in the European Tournament to bring up a trade now. However it is also only 2 weeks from the start of training camp. It is bad timing for the Jazz and other teams when everyone has their rosters pretty much set.
I really think Andrei is a great player and can bring so much to the Jazz when he is playing like AK47. I also feel though if he wants to go the Jazz should trade him. I'd hate for him to be a distraction to the rest of the team and a cancer in the locker room which I'm afraid he would be if he returns in a Jazz uniform next month.
Now trade talk, who could we possibly get for him that would make sense for the Jazz?
Since I am a Nets fan, an early rumor is RJ-for-Kirilenko. From a business standpoint, it could be a good trade for both teams. But I really like Jefferson, so I hope he'll stay with the Nets....
Hey, check out my blog if you wanna, found yours at a certain messageboard we're both posting on. (I am Renton)
What do you think about Jerry Sloan? Do you really feel Andrei's right? Doesn't Sloan let his guys just play? If that's true, would it limit the progression of an already very good point guard in Deron Williams?
